Compromise a little

Compromise a little

Now more than ever, we all need to compromise a little. This holds true with your wedding as well!

If he wants lots of Groomsmen and she only wants a few Bridesmaids, let it be! There is no rule book that says you have to be “Even Steven” on both sides. Compromise and agree to have whoever you each want in your wedding party. It’s silly to think that you’d each have the exact number of “Best friends” just to keep a balance of people in your wedding. Your wedding party should be people who are special in your lives, not just someone to walk down the aisle to even things up.

If you’re having a seated served dinner and you don’t want the hassle of keeping track of who wants what, yet you can’t agree on what to serve, try a dual entrée. Just make sure that the two proteins you’ve selected pair well with one another. For example, you don’t want pork and beef as a dual entrée! Beef or Chicken with a skewer of grilled shrimp however is a nice choice.

If you’re having a tough time coming to terms with the cake design and flavors, make each layer a different flavor and consider doing a bi-exterior design. You’ll see below that the bride wanted a pretty scroll design, while the groom is all about action figures. This was a fun way to reach a compromise so each person got what they wanted, thanks to Amy at Piece of Cake in Mesa!

Most importantly, have fun while planning your wedding. When you come upon a stumbling block, find a solution that turns the problem into something fun. Your life will be a lot less stressful!
